It is known that Microsoft is going to integrate their application virtualization technology named Microsoft App-V within Windows 10. The integration is scheduled in the upcoming Redstone release for later this year. In the Insider Preview Windows 10 build 14316 the binaries of App-V are now by default available. This blog post wil take a closer look in the built-in Microsoft App-V Client.
Performance optimizations in VDI is a hot topic these days especially with the introduction of Windows 10. According to various sources there are major disk performance difference which effect the overall user experience. So this will result that performance optimizations in VDI become more important. It has been a while since the last App-V User Group 2015 and recently Login Consultants has published the recordings of the sessions. The App-V User Group is a conference where you can learn from the knowledge and experiences of the App-V experts, also known as Microsoft’s Most Valued Persons (MVP’s), from all over the world. Over 100 people from 14 different countries attended the event which is exactly what we want to achieve: bringing international App-V users from end user companies together and share the do’s and don’ts.
